She was predeceased by: her parents, Benjamin Hitz and Lena Hitz (Marti); her husband John Ailes, Jr.; her siblings, Allen Hitz and Marjean Hitz; and her grandson Benjamin McClanahan.
She is survived by: her children, Diane McClanahan (Drue) of Wanatah, Dawn Ailes of LaCrosse, Donalda Garrett (Jim) of Garnet Valley, PA and Doug Ailes of Walkerton; her grandchildren, Jennifer England (Marc), Sarah McClanahan, Tara McClanahan, Zachary McClanahan (Kim Slanina), Selena Tacchino (Kevin), Sean Garrett, Jonah Garrett and Tyler Ailes; her great grandchildren, Marc (Brityna), Zoe, Kennedy, Carter, Camron and Cooper; and her siblings, Nila Curry and Roger Hitz (RuAnn).
