She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul Kraker and Esther Kraker (Anderson); her husband Don R. Hefner; her daughter Darlene Koontz; and her siblings, Helen Gesse, Wilma Ailes, Lois Kasch, Kenneth Kraker and Robert Kraker.
She is survived by: her children, Keith Hefner (Ronda), Donna Smith (Jim) and Darla Rothenberger (Jon); her son-in-law Jim Koontz; her grandchildren, Bryan (Keyya), Matt (Arin), Adam (Erica), Ryan (Nichole), Kristin (Brad), Amanda and Jacob; and her sister Evelyn Moya (Charles). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to the LaCrosse United Methodist Church or the VNA Hospice of NWI.
