He was predeceased by: his father Dwight E. "Bud" Martin; and his brother Brett Eric Martin. He is survived by: his spouse Lauri L. Grant; his son Joe Button (Kristina); his stepchildren, Jeannie Hoover (Dustin) and Leon Snyder; his grandchildren, Carla Button, Sierra Button, Emily Button and Daisey Button; his stepgrandchildren, Travis Hoover and Lillie Button; his great grandchildren, Braxton Benson, Nova Benson, Zayden Brooks-Timmons and Ransom Button; and his siblings, David Eugene Martin, Brian Keith Martin (Susan Elaine), Marla Kay Martin-Conwell (Blaine), Lisa Marie Martin-Zinsmaster and Kelly Lee Martin. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
