It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sara Jane Baird of Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on September 13, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Donald and Ramona Jane Pettit (Leap); her daughter Ruth Ann Baird; and her brother David Pettit. She is survived by: her children, Scot Baird (Lisa), Mark Baird (Julie), Melinda Conaway (Keith) and Susie Gabriel (Mike); and her grandchildren, Drew Baird (Stephanie), Erin Bisulca (Tom), Zack Gabriel (Sydney), Chaz Gabriel (Karlie), Addy Gabriel, Haleigh Dubbels (Kylan), Caroline Conaway and Kaylee Baird. She is also survived by 4 great-grandchildren.

Contributions may be made in Sara's memory to the Richard Hayden Miller and Marsha Ann Miller Scholarship managed by the Community Foundation of Howard County.
