He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Alt and Juanita Isabel Alt (Fowler); and his sons, Todd Alt and Kevin Alt. He is survived by: his friend Gary Howe; his children, Robert Alt, James Alt, Tonie Alt and Travis Alt; his grandchildren, Braxton Alt and Mia Alt; and his pets, Grayson, Phoebe, Chip and Benny.
