He was predeceased by: his parents, Emilio Ocampo Tapnio and Geronima Tapnio (Ordonez); and his siblings, Dr. Filipinas Vital, Angelina Tapnio-Mallari, Emilio Tapnio, Jr. and Armando Tapnio.

He is survived by: his wife Teresita U. Tapnio; his sons, Rogelio U. Tapnio (Celiza), Raymond Tapnio and Joel Alexander Tapnio; his grandchildren, Raphael Tapnio (Erin) and Chloe Tapnio; and his siblings, Teresita Reyna, Luz Tapnio, Lillian Tapnio, Fredesvinda Tan, Renato Tapnio, Dr. Lysandro Tapnio, Eleanor Allen and Dr. Cezar Tapnio.

Contributions may be made in Roger's memory to St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.
