He was predeceased by: his parents, Donnell Newell and Margaret Newell (Harvey); his son Franklin Delano Newell (Jake); his sister Debra McDorman; his sister-in-law Louise Newell; his granddaughter Leanne Reynolds; and his great grandchildren, Daymian Newell and Eniyah Vega.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Boring; his children, Cynthia Lynn Miller (Gary), Robert A. Jr. Newell (Tina), Victoria A. Cody (Mike) and Lydia A. Pacheco (Megan); his siblings, Kathy Burress (Dave), Larry Newell (Marilyn) and Ron Newell; and his brother-in-law Greg McDorman.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Bud's memory to Highland Park Church or Relay for Life.
