He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thomas and Mary Ann Shelley (Connell). He is survived by: his former wife Sandra Janet Houston (Russell); his children, Janet Bartley (Greg) of Kokomo, Margaret Ann Shelley of Marion, Roberta Jean (Rich Molina), Carlyn Sue Haas (Tom) of Fernley, NV, James Thomas Shelley (Rhonda) of Elwood and Robert Andrew Shelley of Frankfort; and his siblings, Betty Qualls of Missouri, Rosa Haney of Washington and Bobby Shelley of Arkansas, Several. He is also survived by Several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
