She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde McCorkle and R. Violet McCorkle (Davenport); her husband Stanley W. Swails; her siblings, John McCorkle (Patricia), Carolyn Mitchell (Robert) and Virginia Henderson (Fred); and her son-in-law Bill Napper.

She is survived by: her children, Harry Ronald Swails (Cindy Chaplin), Rebecca Ellen Napper and Cindy Lu Suryantoro (Rudy); her granddaughters, Kelly Uncapher (John) and Michelle Orstead (Erik); her great grandchildren, Justin Wogerman (Samantha), Emma Harrah (Jonathon), Madison Groninger (Nolan) and Ethan Orstead; and her great great grandchildren, Jagger James Harrah, Addy Williams, Caiden Williams and Jayce Wogerman.
