Phyllis J. Gibson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phyllis J. Gibson of Kokomo, Indiana, who passed away on April 5, 2025, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. Morrison and Kathryn Morrison (Gray); her husband Daniel M. Gibson; her daughter Bobbie Asher; her former husband Robert Asher; and her daughter-in-law Lora Gibson.
She is survived by: her children, Pamela Hawkins (Seamus), Jeffrey Gibson (Kelly), Joseph Gibson (Maggie) and James Gibson; her grandchildren, Shayla Caddell (Jon), Brendan Hawkins, Jordyn Aeschliman (Ryan), Amber Gibson, Adam Gibson, Daniel Gibson (Alexcia), Levi Gibson, Jonah Gibson, Kristyn Bitner, Morgan Knox, Molly Bitner, Chad Ort (Brenna), Eric Johnston, Kelly Elliott, Brett Johnston (Amber) and Suzanne Bachman (Justin); and her siblings, Marilyn Mouser, Leona McCool (Danny) and Teddy Lee Morrison (Edith). She is also survived by sixteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Stout Funeral Homes and Crematory (1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 11th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Shirley & Stout Funeral Home & Crematory (1315 W Lincoln Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902).
Memorial contributions may be made in Phyllis's memory to the Lora Sottong Gibson Memorial Nursing Scholarship through the Tipton County Foundation or to St. Jude Hospital or Wounded Warrior Project.
