He was predeceased by: his parents, Jean Calache and Lily Calache (Nahas); and his brother Robert. He is survived by: his children, John Michael Calache of Seattle and Christine Michel Borror (Will) of Little Rock; his granddaughter Vivian; his brother Elie Calache (Doris); and his sister-in-law Rita Calache.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at 914 W Taylor St, Kokomo, IN 46901. A funeral service was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oaklawn Cemetery Inc. (600 Beckley St, North Manchester, IN 46962).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Thomas the Apostle Orthodox Church, 914 W Taylor St, Kokomo, Indiana, 46901, to support renovations and upkeep of the Narthex, a project that Michel initiated.
