She was predeceased by: her parents, Clifford D. Houk and Evelyn M. Houk (Drage); her husband Ralph Alton Grotrian; her grandson Jason Himelick; her great grandchild Lucas Pohl; and her siblings, Robert Houk, Phyllis Affolder and Harry "Bud" Houk.
She is survived by: her daughters, Kristine Himelick (Jeffery), Susan Evans and Sara Peterson (Matthew); her grandchildren, Erin Estle (Justin), Amy Lewis (Brandon), Megan Nelson, Tori Hayes (Joshua), Lindsey Pence (Zack), Emily Pohl (Andrew) and Tyler Peterson (Ashleigh); her granddaughter-in-law Annette Himelick; and her brother-in-law Tom Grotrian (Janet). She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
Memorial contributions may be made in Lois' memory to Lutheran Church of Our Redeemer, Kokomo Rescue Mission, or Gideon's International.
