He is survived by: his wife Connie Basham; his children, Richard "Ty" Basham, LeeAnna Groves and Annette Basham; his grandchildren, Elliott Groves and Hannah Groves; and his brother-in-law Nestor (Rachel Gonzalez). He is also survived by sister-in-law.

Visitation was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Sunset Memory Garden Funeral Home & Cemetery (2097 W Alto Rd, Kokomo, IN 46902). A funeral service was held on Monday, November 11th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
