He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Dowden and Marleene Dowden (Pasley); and his close friend Stan. He is survived by: his wife Christina Dowden of Kokomo; his children, Bradley Dowden (Clair), Nathaniel Dowden (Shelby) and Felicity Gordon (Brett); his grandchildren, Logan, Johnathan, Owen, Maverick and Oriah; and his sisters, Toni Dowden, Joni Smith (Wayne) and Helen Rouch (Scott).

Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Murray-Weaver Funeral Home (401 S California St, Galveston, IN 46932). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
