It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Evelyn Rebecca Cherry of Kokomo, Indiana, born in Gallatin, Tennessee, who passed away on June 30, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, William A. Kendall and Flora B. Kendall (Clancy); her siblings, Estelyne Plumblee (Bennie Reed Plumlee), James Kendall (Jean Kendall) and Earl Kendall (Joyce); and her siblings-in-law, Charles Bardonner (Elmer Kendall), Gladys Smith (Charles), Clarence Cherry (Evelyn) and Iva Cherry (Yate).
She is survived by: her husband Delbert C. Cherry; her children, Wanda Abney (Butch), Loraine Swope of Kokomo and Dewaine (Roseanne Cherry) of Arcadia, Indiana; her sister JoEdna Bardonner of Arcadia, Indiana; her sister-in-law Margaret Ann Kendall of Elwood, Indiana; her grandchildren, Tom Abney (Andrea) of Kokomo, Bob Lancette, Chris Lancette, Elesia Ricke of Perrysburg, Amity (Joel O'Connell) of Chicago, Brendan Cherry (Patricia) of Ann Arbor and Shannon Hildebrand (Jay) of Noblesville, Indiana.; her great grandchildren, Lauren Abney, Mason Spencer, Allison Abney, Keagan Hildebrand, Samuel Hildebrand, Nora O'Connell, Tatum Hildebrand and Zoe O'Connell; and her great great grandchild Charlotte Spencer. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
