He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harris Sr. and Helen Newman (Campbell); and his son Michael Joseph Harris. He is survived by: his wife Bridget Huskins; his children, Carolyn Smith (Nate), Jennifer Ahles and Joshua Griner; his siblings, James Richard Harris (Reta), Fred Harris (Nancy), Rebecca Granieri, Jaimie Reef and Jimmy Harris; and his brothers-in-law, Jon Huskins (Debi) and Pat Huskins (Devonique). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests sun-loving perennials that can be planted by their fishpond, a place where they enjoyed spending time, or contributions in Don's name to the charity of their choice.
