He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Zimmerman and Frances Zimmerman (Smith); and his siblings, Alyce Wiles (Jim) and John Zimmerman (Laquita). He is survived by: his wife Joyce McGowan; his sons, Kevin Zimmerman (Colleen) and Rick Zimmerman; his brother Steve (Bette); his grandchildren, Hannah Hartwell (Nate), Kyle Zimmerman (Michelle) and Kelsey Zimmerman; and his great grandchild Nolan Hartwell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life was held on Saturday, November 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the American Legion Post 6 (2604 S Lafountain St, Kokomo, IN 46901).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Don's memory to the American Cancer Society.
