He was predeceased by: his parents, Kennard Stout and Reba Stout (Tucker); his former wives, Mary Helen Taylor and Mary Helen Stout; and his son Jeffrey A. Stout.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Vogus Pinkerton; his sons, Marty Stout (Bev) and Douglas Stout (Tracy); his grandchildren, Megan Levi (Joel), Morgan Irwin (Kirk), Jeff Stout (Courtney), Madison Bourff (Skyler), Jake Stout, Katelyn Bogardus (Jake), Reagan Wood (Nate), Jason Hargraves (Ali), Justin Hargraves and Zach Stout; his brother Dennis Stout (Nancy); his stepsons, Brian Pinkerton (Tina) and Greg Pinkerton (Debra); and his stepgrandchildren, Dain and Chase Pinkerton. He is also survived by 8 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Patrick Catholic Church or the Kokomo Humane Society in Dave's memory.
