He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford E. Shelhart and Elizabeth "Betty" Knowles Shelhart; his wife Freda Jordan Shelhart; and his sister Mary Lou Rainford. He is survived by: his children, Cliff Shelhart (Arcelia) of Knox and Patti Shelhart of Crown Point; his grandsons, Clifford Shelhart II (Bethany) and Brandon Shelhart (Skylar); his great grandchildren, Adrianna, Jalen, Owen and Dakota; his close friend Elizabeth Bratt of Knox; and his stepsons, Roger Stacy (Wanda) of Culver, Randy Stacy of Tennessee, Gary Stacy (Sue) of Knox and Paul Stacy (Brenda) of Knox. He is also survived by many step-grandchildren and great grandchildren.
