She was predeceased by: her parents, Leslie Edwards and Jane Edwards; her husband Jose Hernandez; and her brothers, Lucky Stephenson and Edmund Stephenson.

She is survived by: her children, Shantelle Smail of North Ogden, Michael Hernandez (Lisa) of Knox, Daniel Hernandez of Lexington and Oliva McIntire (Charles) of Knox; and her sister Bonnie Velazquez of Walterboro. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
