She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, S. P. Collins and Donnie L. Furlow Collins; her husband Carl F. Schaefer; her daughter D. Lori Smith (Mark) of Culver; her grandchildren, Hunter Smith (Tia) of Knox and Harper Smith of Culver; and her great grandchild Elise Smith of Knox.
She had asked that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Independent Cat Society in Westville, Indiana or Fried's Cat Shelter in Michigan City, Indiana.
