He is survived by: his wife Bobbie Jean Byrd; his son Brett Byrd (Amanda Byrd) of Apalachicola; his granddaughter Mandy Stratton (Marcus); his great grandchild Braxton Stratton; his grandsons, Justin Byrd (Emily Byrd) and Wesley Wilson; his great grandchildren, Aubrey and Ava; his son Bart Byrd of Marianna; his granddaughter Noelle Byrd; his daughter Linda Byrd Goley of Ponce de Leon; his grandson Michael Goley (Natalie Goley); his great grandchild Chandler Goley; his grandson Jonathan Goley; his daughter Brenda Byrd Story (Tim Story) of Tallahassee; his granddaughter Brittany Williams (Bryan); his great grandchildren, Logan Williams and Parker Williams; his grandson Brandon Story (Rachel); his great grandchildren, Estella and Eleanor; his grandson Blake Story; his great grandchild Liam Story; his granddaughter Rayanna Griggs; and his siblings, Joel Byrd (Aubrey Jean), Wilmer Byrd, Hilton Byrd, Archie Byrd (Linda), Sharon Galloway (Gary), Janet Baxley (Gordan), Jean West (Johnny), Karen Osteen (George) and Kathy Marsh (Donnie).
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church (4191 County Hwy 181C, Ponce De Leon, FL 32455). A funeral service was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
