We are sad to announce that on February 13, 2021, at the age of 97, Joan Carlson of Knox, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James P. Falvey and Gertrude Falvey; and her siblings, Bill, Jean, Kenny, Jan, Joyce, Tom and Margaret.
She is survived by: her aunt Mary Byers; her children, Bill Carlson (Charlotte) of Rochester Hills, MI, Jim Carlson (Christine) of Three Rivers, MI, Jan Spinell (Al) of Avon, CT, Joyce Friedman (Mark) of Upper Montclair, NJ, Dan Carlson of Grand Rapids, MI, Jeanne Hendry (Herb) of Okemos, MI, Tom Carlson (Jenny) of Berkeley, CA, Tim Carlson (Natsuko) of Seattle, WA and Joe Carlson (Liesel) of East Lansing, MI; her friend Jo Fuller; and also Sara Shaffer. She is also survived by seventeen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, along with nieces, nephews and in-laws.
