He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Smith and Ila Gleghorne Smith; and his spouse Sans Simone "Sandy" Wright. He is survived by: his children, Trent Smith of Portage and Jamielynn Hemminger of Demotte; and his grandchildren, Brittni Smith, Trinity Smith, Kobe and Wyatt Hemminger.
