He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Troyer and Leona Burger Troyer; and his siblings, Dewey, Thomas Troyer, Norma Troyer, Betty Troyer, Arlene Ritchie and Darlene Badsky.
He is survived by: his close friend Barbara Seaman of Knox; his children, Gene Troyer (Andrea) of Hamlet, Teresa Watson (Chuck) of Valparaiso and Brenda Mitchell of Knox; and his siblings, John Troyer of Plymouth, Ruth Minix of Knox and Carolyn Hensley of Star City. He is also survived by four grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to the local American Legion Posts, the VFW or the Humane Society.
