He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Samuel and Gertie Marie Smith (Carroll). He is survived by: his wife Marjorie Smith (Rumple); his children, Carl Smith, Jr. (Danielle) of Knightstown and Jeannie Marie Brown; his grandchildren, Samantha Kuhn, Zachary Brown, Dawson Smith, Cooper Ware and Carly Smith; and his great grandchild Sebastian Freytag. He is also survived by three sisters; four brothers and several nieces and nephews.
