She was predeceased by: her parents, Walfrid Johnson and Esther Johnson (Harlow); and her brothers, Lloyd and Roger Johnson. She is survived by: her son Ryan Lance Stephen Johnson (Latreese Jeffries) of Kingsford Heights, IN; her grandsons, Brandon Atkinson of Kingsford Heights, IN, Bryan Birdsall of South Bend, IN, Richard Birdsall, Jr. of Chilicothe, OH and Michael Tolson of Toledo, OH; her goddaughter Kala Anderson of Bloomington, IN; her brother Larry Johnson (Mary Anne) of Medaryville, IN; and her granddaughter Rhea Esther May Johnson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in her honor to the American Legion, Kingsford Heights or the La Porte Small Animal Shelter.
