He is survived by: his children, Poppie Lynn Upton (Walter) of West Virginia, Ashley Crittendon (Carl) of Kingsford Heights, Indiana and Anthony R. McCarty of Bristol, Indiana; and his siblings, Delphine Walton of Hanna, Zinda Beerwart (Ed) of Hanna, Kathy Alfrey of Kentucky, Calvin "Pete" McCarty (Tina) of Knox and Benny McCarty (Jo) of Kentucky. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
