He was predeceased by: his parents, Martha Basinger Ratcliff and George William Ratcliff, Sr. of Kingman; his wife Virginia Anne; his son Michael L.; his siblings, Helen and Robert; and his granddaughter Chelsea.
He is survived by: his father-in-law Ralph Carson; his sons, Stephen R. Ratcliff (Connie) of West Lafayette, Roderick J. Ratcliff (Pamela) of Culver and John R. Ratcliff (Robin) of Veedersburg; his grandchildren, Joseph Ratcliff (Lauren), Dr. Joshua Ratcliff (Emily), Lauren Ratcliff Sulkowski (Matt), Justin Ratcliff, Shelby Ratcliff Ianello (Robert), Heather Ratcliff Bennett (Brock) and Jared Ratcliff; and his siblings-in-law, Roy and Jane Davis of Pittsboro. He is also survived by five great grandchildren along with several nieces and nephews.
