It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erik Griffin of Kingman, Indiana, born in Danville, Illinois, who passed away on September 9, 2024, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father Paul Edward Griffin; his sisters, Jennifer Henderson and Carla Griffin; his niece Kami Griffin; his nephew Gavin Lewis; and his close friends, Joe Rutledge, Granger Wann, Marcus "Hannie" Phelps and Mark Woodworth.
He is survived by: his mother Becky Kay Ellis (Grimes) of Kingman; his daughter Shelbie Griffin (Anthony Haga) of West Lebanon; his former wife Lorie Griffin; his stepmother Jayne Gawthorp; his brothers, Paul Griffin Jr., Chuck Hensley (Mary), Brian Gassaway (Kayla) and Andy Gassaway (Miranda); his stepsisters, Samatha Guilliams (Sam) and Lockey Eppley (Chris); and his pet Booger. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to the funeral home to assist with funeral expenses. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home or you may donate online on his obituary page.
