He was predeceased by: his parent Dale E. Burton. He is survived by: his mother Elma Frances Brock Burton; his wife Wendy A. Burton; his sisters, Sherry Davis of Somerset and Sheila Burton of Somerset; his parents-in-law, Donita and Jim Hook; and his brothers-in-law, Rob Hook (Ande) of Logansport, Doug Hook (Becky) of Logansport and Bill Hook (Jennifer) of Logansport.
