She was predeceased by: her parents, William C. Cole and Jamaica Bell Cole (Adkins); and her grandson Steven Rusher. She is survived by: her son Bob Rusher (Peggy) of Kentland; her granddaughter Jessica Rusher of Denver, Colorado; and her sister Aline Foster of Tennessee. She is also survived by her parents; husband; two sisters; one brother.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
