He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene Lloyd Molter and Betty Molter (Stombaugh); and his brother-in-law Randy Risley. He is survived by: his close friend Carla Plaster of Kentland; his children, Megan Zuber (Chris) of Fishers, IN and Josh Molter (Maria); and his siblings, Ann Miner (Dave) of Lafayette, Kathleen Risley of Kentland, Stan Molter (Diane) of Sheldon, IL, Sue King (Steve) of Sheldon, IL, Teresa Hoover (Jim) of Lafayette and Pat Molter (Karen Van Duyn) of Earl Park. He is also survived by his 14 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made in Michael's name to Boy Scouts of America.
