He was predeceased by: his parents, George Smith and Lois Smith (Christlieb); his wife Doris Strasburg; and his siblings, Connie Jackson and Lynn Smith.
He is survived by: his sons, Max A. Smith, Jr. and Curtis E. Smith; and his brother Terry Smith of Kansas. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service was held on Monday, April 28th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
