He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Delmer Trowbridge and Thelma Clara Trowbridge (Smith); his nephew Christopher Trowbridge; his sisters, Patricia Engle and Donna Conrad; his half-brother Robert Lee Trowbridge; and his parent-in-law Donald.

He is survived by: his wife Nyda Trowbridge of Kendallville; his children, Larry Trowbridge Jr. of Kendallville and Clara; his pets, Smokey and Copper; and his siblings, Helen Gillespie of Garrett, Judy Prestchold of Mount Prospect, Illinois, Lois Jean Fredrickson of Kendallville, Karen, Janet, Steve and Daniel.
