He was predeceased by: his parents, Brance Gibson and Betty Gibson (Handshoe); his spouse Valetta A Shippy; and his siblings, Madeline Burns, Benton Gibson, Jaycee Gibson and Jack Gibson.
He is survived by: his siblings, Millie Pierson of Avilla, Carol Gibson of Avilla, Linda Gibson of Syracuse, William Gibson of Auburn, Brance Gibson (Sue) of Edon and Jeff Gibson (Jodi) of Kendallville. He is also survived by 2 daughters, 4 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
