We bid farewell to Dean Rusmisel of Kendallville, Indiana, born in Danville, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on November 4, 2024 at the age of 90. Dean touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Everett Rusmisel and Marie Rusmisel (Lamdin); his sister Patricia Siddens; and his grandson Mathew Fuller. He is survived by: his former wife Agnes Arlene Brown; his wife Arlene Rusmisel of Kendallville; his children, Dan (Pat Rusmisel), Jim (Dea Rusmisel), Carolyn (Dwight Busche, Jr.) and Cindy (Jim Clevenger); and his grandchildren, Michael Rusmisel, Melissa McQueen, Marie Parks (Graham), Jenna Rice (Nick), Amanda Hohn, Emily Glick, Jake Glick (Tiffany), Jeremy Rusmisel (Kala), Josh Rusmisel and Jordan Rusmisel. He is also survived by 11 great grandchildren, 4 step grandchildren, and 13 step great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hite Funeral Home (403 S Main St, Kendallville, IN 46755). The military honors was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Thursday, November 7th 2024 at the same location.
Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or Wounded Warriors Project.
