He was predeceased by: his parents, Arnold Handshoe and Flora Handshoe (Harmon); his wife Lois Handshoe; his grandchildren, Christina Wilcox and Allen Wilcox; and his siblings, Betty Handshoe and Leslie Handshoe.
He is survived by: his daughters, LaShonda, Wilcox-Lovely (William Lovely) of Kendallville, Carrie Rowe of Garrett, Kathy Handshoe of Fort Wayne and Yvonne Handshoe (Anthony Maenle) of New Haven; his grandchildren, Brittney Stahl, Skyler Wilcox (Audry Ramer), Michael Slone, Kaleb Slone, Kylie Ritchie (Damen) and Emily Slone; and his sisters, Hazel Ensley (Carroll) of North Carolina, Jeanette Mansfield of Fort Wayne, Judy Boyd of Kendallville and Ellen Hicks of Garrett. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Love Baptist Church (2353 S Lima Rd, Kendallville, IN 46755). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
