He is survived by: his spouse Mello S. Nelson; his children, Raymond L. Herring (Ronda) of Marion, IN and Lisa A. Herring of Fort Wayne, IN; his grandchildren, Christopher Spaulding of Marion, IN, John Owen (Tabatha) of Gas City, IN and Sandy Owen of Gas City, IN; his great grandchildren, Melody, Peyton, Crystal, Ruby, Gabe and Michael; his siblings, Violet Tews, Judy Webb (late Ray), Linda Brown (Dennis), Bonnie Swank (Scott), David Herring (late Betty) and Terry Herring (Pam); and his pet Buddy. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
