He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Bernard and Lola Jean Stinson (Heidman); and his granddaughter Bella Doughty. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Richards; his children, Lola Swinford (Steve Nicholson) of Pendleton, Angela Fesmire of Pendleton, David Stinson (Mary), Anderson, John Doughty (Rhea), Chesterfield and Sean Hoskins; his brothers, Mike Stinson (Joan), Anderson and Christopher Stinson; and his grandchildren, T. J. Swinford, Jake Fesmire, Bentley Stinson, Edison Stinson (Eddie) and Alex Doughty.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Masonic Lodge, for their food for the elderly program.
