He is survived by: his wife Margaret Spangler; his children, William "Bud" Spangler Jr., Garland Spangler (Elizabeth), Tonya Steyn, Franny Bottorff, Chrissy Curtis and Waylon Williams; and his sisters, Doris Sparks and Katie Grubs. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
