He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Bryant and Madeline Quire Bryant; and his siblings, Ernest (E. T.), Edgar (Dutch), George, Cecil (Joe), William (Bill), Roy Bryant and Virginia Bryant (Jenny).

He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Pamela Kramer (Jeff) and Walter Bryant, Jr. (Tommy); his granddaughters, Meagan Douglas (Matthew) and Kristin Eberle (Devin); his great grandchildren, Hadley Eberle, Lainey Eberle, Austin Douglas and Abigail Douglas; and his sister Jean Brookshire.

In lieu of flowers donations in Walter's memory may be made to American Cancer Society.
