For Joyce Laverne is not truly gone, but merely transformed, her energy intertwined with the fabric of the universe itself, forever dancing among the stars.
She was predeceased by: her husband John Slaten. She is survived by: her daughters, Kimberly Slaten and Natalie Slaten; her grandchildren, Joshua Slaten, Erica Grayson and Alex Grayson; and her great grandchild Jacob Slaten.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to Breast Cancer Research Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
