James Larry Jeffries Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of James Larry Jeffries of Jeffersonville, Indiana, born in Corinth, Mississippi, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 16, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Doris Schilt and Paul Schilt; his nephew Steven Mark Schilt; and his great-nephew Isaiah Lamkin. He is survived by: his wife Teresita Jeffries; his children, Sherry Chandler (Dean) and Scott Jeffries (Kathy); his siblings, Wayne Jeffries (Margaret), Steven Schilt (Yvonna) and Melody Grimes; his uncle Myrl King; his grandchildren, Brittany Johnson (Caleb), Kiersten Stone (Wesley), Devan Gibson (Katie), Kaylee Jeffries, Katelyn Hattabaugh (Austin) and Tyler Flannery (Ariel); and his great grandchildren, Oliver, Rhett Johnson, Erin, Iris Flannery, Oaks Gibson and Eleanor Stone. He is also survived by cousins, nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Scott Funeral Home (2515 Veterans Pkwy, Jeffersonville, IN 47130). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Walnut Ridge Cemetery (2421 Hamburg Pike, Jeffersonville, IN 47130).
