With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Dorothy Louise Cochran of Jeffersonville, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Though Dorothy may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Thomas and Dorothy Mae Reed Jones; her husband George Eugene Cochran; her son Thomas W. Casey; and her siblings, Wanda Kearns and Harry Thomas Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Dorothy, Sandra L. Emery of Jeffersonville, IN, Patricia A. Sappenfield of Jeffersonville, IN and Rose M. Rosenberg (Martin) of Greenwood, IN.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Grayson Funeral Home-Charlestown (893 High St, Charlestown, IN 47111). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Grayson Funeral Home (893 High St, Charlestown, IN 47111). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 at the Crown Hill Cemetery (434 S Poplar St, New Washington, IN 47162).
