She was predeceased by: her parents, Edwin B. Knies and Lenore Knies (Buehler); her brother Edwin C. Knies; and her in-laws, Frank Meyer, Vera, Don Renner, Irene, Ernie Werne, Marge, Wilbert Edwards, Jerome Moeller and Fred Brown.
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ackerman (Ann) of Jasper, Laura Grammer (Paul) of Jasper and Jill Jones (Paul) of Greenville, IN; her grandchildren, Adam Ackerman (Julia), Ashlyn Ackerman (Alex Hoffmann), Ryan Grammer (Morgan), Logan Grammer (Beth), Garrett Jones and Gwyn Jones; her great grandchildren, Corbin, Vivian Grammer, Roman and Warren Grammer; her sisters, Sarah Meyer and Anne Oser (Ed); and her sisters-in-law, Camilla Moeller and Cleo Brown. She is also survived by first cousins with a total of 86 first cousins.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jasper German Club Endowment at the Dubois County Community Foundation, Precious Blood Catholic Church, or the Dubois County Museum.
