He is survived by: his daughters, Kashana Afifi (Ahmed) of Evansville, IN and Marissa Bottles (Kurt) of Evansville, IN; his grandchildren, Alexia, Mason and Jada; his siblings, Patti Cacioppo (Richard) of Omaha, NE, Robert Matthews (Barbara) of Ferdinand, IN, Kenneth Matthews (Mary Alice) of Loogootee, IN, Richard Matthews of Florida and Paul Matthews of Florida; and his siblings-in-law, Alfrieda Matthews of Rockport, IN, Bill Wolf of Dubois, IN and Dave Holtz of Holland, IN. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph Catholic Church (1029 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, January 13th 2025 at the Fairview Cemetery (1020 Kundeck St, Jasper, IN 47546).
