We are sad to announce that on September 5, 2023, at the age of 93, Linus J. Knies of Jasper, Indiana, born in Birdseye, Indiana passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Knies and Bertha Knies (Schultz); his grandson Preceding; and his sisters, Ann Boeglin and Ruth Ann Leonard.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Knies; his children, Linda Dall (Gary), Lisa Haake (Henry), Barbara Striegel and Rick Knies (Teresa); his grandchildren, Kyle Knies (Lindsay), Krista Witges (Clark), Eric Dall (Keelie), Athena Goffinet (Neal), Austin and Aliya Haake; and his siblings, Edna Schiffer, Dolores Hopf, Marvin Knies (Connie) and Ralph Knies (Brenda). He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to Divine Mercy Parish or Precious Blood Catholic Church.
