John F. Schmidt Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of John F. Schmidt of Jasper, Indiana, who passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Schmidt and Caroline Schmidt (Burke); his wife Betty Jean Henke; his son Gary Schmidt; and his siblings, Betsy May, Bernie and Charles Schmidt.
He is survived by: his children, Greg Schmidt (Sue) of Jasper, IN, Debbie Berger of Jasper, IN and Denise McCrary of Payson, AZ; his grandchildren, Nichole Peter (Josh), Adam Schmidt (Jeanne Delise), Lauren Keller (Luke), Jessica Cava (Jason), Stuart Berger and Jason Gress; his siblings, Dorothy Waggoner of Vincennes, IN and Louis Schmidt (Mary Ann) of Jasper, IN; and his sister-in-law Pat Schmidt of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren.
