He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Harder and Clara Harder (Krodel); his son Randall Harder; and his brothers, Fred and Lester Harder.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Harder of John's Lutheran Church; his son Ryan Harder of Alfordsville; his brother Jim Harder (Mary Beth Martin); and his granddaughter Morgan Harder.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Boone Township.
